she went
onside
harmless
and sweet
as ever
when the dragon
suddenly
swept her
offside
with its tail

after that
terrifying
moment
the world
stopped
and the only
thing that
tumbled on
was their
old washer

two people
dead alive
side by side
waiting
for nothing
just watching
that tumbling
where they
washed
there memories
